How it is done

  1. 01

    Assessment

Medical history is taken; kidney function and electrolytes are reviewed.

  2. 02

    Composition plan

The composition and dose are adjusted for the individual.

  3. 03

    Application

A line is placed and the infusion is given slowly.

  4. 04

    Observation

You are briefly observed during and after the application.

Afterwards

  • Drinking plenty of water afterwards is recommended.
  • A feeling of warmth during the infusion can occur because of the magnesium.
  • The infusion is slowed if you feel dizzy.
  • Session intervals follow the physician's plan.

Frequently asked questions

Is a feeling of warmth during the infusion normal?

Yes — it is a common, temporary sensation caused by the magnesium content. If it is uncomfortable, the infusion rate is reduced.

Does everyone get the same composition?

No. The classic composition is a starting point; the contents and dose are adjusted for the individual through blood tests and physician assessment.

How often can it be given?

There is no standard frequency. The programme is set by the physician according to test results and symptoms.
