Your rights
- To receive respectful, quality health care without discrimination
- To learn, choose and change the physician and the technique
- To receive understandable information about the procedure, risks, alternatives and cost
- Not to undergo any procedure without giving informed consent
- To refuse treatment and to stop it at any stage
- To have your privacy and the confidentiality of your medical records protected
- To access your records and request a copy
- To make a complaint or give an opinion, and to learn the outcome of your application
Your responsibilities
- Giving your medical history, current medication and allergies in full
- Following the instructions given before and after the procedure
- Arriving on time for appointments and letting us know if you cannot attend
- Respecting clinic rules and the rights of other patients
Informed consent
Before every procedure, the technique to be used, the expected outcome, possible complications, the recovery process and the alternatives are set out clearly in a written consent form. Consent is not taken until your questions have been answered.
