Exosomes are very small vesicles that cells release to signal to one another. In aesthetic use they are applied to support cellular renewal processes in the skin and scalp. Stem cell based treatments are a separate category and, in Türkiye, may only be performed in centres authorised by the Ministry of Health, for defined indications. Neither is planned without a physician assessment.

- An active infection or inflammatory skin condition in the treatment area
- Areas of scalp that are completely bald with no follicles left — there is no effect there

How it is done

Assessment
The skin or scalp is examined and expectations and alternatives are discussed openly.

Preparation
The area is cleansed and a topical numbing cream is applied.

Session plan
The interval and total number of sessions are set by assessing the response.
Afterwards
- The treated area is not washed for the first 12 hours.
- Sauna, pool and strenuous exercise are not advised for the first 48 hours.
- Continue using sun protection.
- Do not apply products the physician has not recommended to the area.
Frequently asked questions
How does it differ from PRP?
PRP is obtained from your own blood and contains platelet-rich plasma. Exosome applications use prepared products containing intercellular signalling vesicles. Which is appropriate is decided after examining the skin or scalp.
How many sessions are needed?
A programme of 3–4 sessions with a few weeks between them is usually planned. The exact number is set by how the response develops.
Is the result permanent?
No. These treatments aim to support the current condition of the skin or scalp; ageing and genetic hair loss continue. Maintenance sessions can be planned.
Can any clinic perform stem cell treatment?
